The Dog Team (Dogs of War) started out with a guy from Paisley called Malcolm, but who most people know as HOMER, for reasons that usually become obvious rather rapidly. He is currently team captain of a bunch of nutters who he proudly calls Dog Team which have been formed with in an airsoft club called Dogs of War.
Roughly 2-3 years ago some of the marshals at a paintball site near Glasgow decided that they wanted to start playing some paintball and Airsoft in a more organised fashion, so Homer and some buddies decided to start their own team.(so they could share their love) They thought long and hard about a theme to base their loadouts on. The computer game Ghost Recon was decided upon (eventually) but then things started going wrong.
The team very quickly started falling apart as people couldn’t agree on pretty much anything. Some guys moved onto other teams and others left the sport entirely. However, the team had made an impact on the scene already.
They have spent the last year or so building their numbers, the team started to fall apart again, so homer and team mates Herman and Tiny decide to break away from the Ghosts and form an airsoft team called DOG TEAM, they decided to form the team with in an up and coming airsoft club called Dogs of War, which is now insured and working on become UKARA Registed. Negotiator Founder on the Club managed to talk his self into a Great Sponcership with one of the Best Airsoft Shops in the UK, which he can now say that the Club are now sponcered by ACTIONHOBBYS.co.uk.
The club has built it self to 25 members and is still growing and got big plans for this year and next (watch this space) now that we are back up and playing hard but fair whenever we get the chance. In the 3 Months the team has started taking things a lot more seriously (With the help of many new friends) and they have added many more great guys and gal onto the team and are looking at making an even larger impact over the next few years.
We will be concentrating on the Airsoft scene but plan on making an impact on the Paintball scene as well, so they can bring their very own brand of ass kickery to both sports.
